Abstract: A functional-encryption-enabled device performs multiparty computation while concealing participant inputs and a registered function. The device includes processing, memory and communication circuitry; distributed key-generation, input-protection, secret-sharing, function-obfuscation, multiparty-computation, protected transition- execution and functional-decryption components. A setup operation generates a master public key and a master secret key, and the master secret key is divided among key-generation nodes. Participant inputs are encrypted and processed through protected additive and multiplicative operations. The registered function is converted into an obfuscated finite-state-machine, pushdown-automaton or Turing-machine representation having protected states and transitions. Distributed key contributions generate a function-specific key, and functional decryption releases only the authorised value of the registered function. A blockchain-oriented embodiment determines computational-resource or gas values for protected operations. The device thereby avoids plaintext consolidation and protects both input data and function logic during distributed computation. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-7]
