Abstract: The present invention relates to a gene therapy system specifically designed for the targeted management of Parkinson’s Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder. The system comprises a plurality of therapeutic genes engineered to enhance dopamine production or provide neuroprotection, selected for their efficacy in addressing Parkinson's pathology. These genes are delivered into target brain cells using viral vectors, such as adeno-associated viruses (AAVs), which are capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier and targeting specific brain regions, including the substantianigra. The delivery mechanism is configured for non-invasive or minimally invasive administration, potentially incorporating adjunctive treatments to enhance blood-brain barrier permeability. A gene editing tool, including CRISPR-Cas9, is employed to integrate therapeutic genes into the host genome or silence harmful genes, ensuring stable expression. The system features safety monitoring to assess gene expression, detect off-target effects, and deliver personalized therapeutic genes for Parkinson’s, supporting neuron survival and reducing inflammation.
