Abstract: ABSTRACT [0016] A generative adversarial network-based automated vulnerability detection and self-healing system for cloud-native applications is disclosed. The system continuously monitors containerized microservices, service meshes, and orchestration platforms. A generator network synthesizes realistic yet previously unseen attack patterns that reflect the dynamic topology and configuration drift typical of cloud-native environments. A discriminator network evaluates live telemetry against both historical baselines and the synthesized patterns, thereby identifying latent vulnerabilities with high sensitivity. Once a vulnerability is confirmed, an autonomous healing engine selects and executes remediation actions—such as policy updates, pod restarts, network segmentation, or configuration roll-backs—while verifying that the chosen action restores security posture without degrading service availability. The closed-loop interaction between generation, detection, and healing enables proactive defense that adapts to evolving workloads and zero-day threats. Experimental evaluation on representative Kubernetes clusters demonstrates reduced mean time to detection, lower false-positive rates, and measurable improvement in service continuity compared with conventional static scanners and rule-based recovery mechanisms.
