Abstract: The present invention relates to an interactive library information device (100) comprising a liquid crystal display unit (101), a multi-touch capacitive sensor layer (102), an embedded hardware processor (103), a non-transitory memory module (104), a generative artificial intelligence inference accelerator (105), a network interface controller (106), an environmental sensor array (107), a microphone and speaker subsystem (108), a radio frequency identification reader (109), and a power management circuit (110). The device receives natural language queries from library users, processes them through a quantized transformer model executed on the inference accelerator (105) coupled to a curated bibliographic vector database stored in memory (104), and renders contextually grounded responses on the display unit (101). The system reduces query latency, lowers bandwidth consumption, and improves shelf-location accuracy. Industrial application includes academic, public, corporate, and school libraries, archives, and knowledge centers requiring autonomous patron assistance.
