Abstract: The present invention relates to a Ginkgo biloba L. gel formulation designed for anti-inflammatory therapeutic use, belonging to the field of pharmaceutical compositions. The formulation comprises a Ginkgo biloba L. extract obtained through a cold maceration process of authenticated Ginkgo biloba L. leaves, ensuring the preservation of bioactive constituents such as ginkgolides. This extract is incorporated into a gel base that includes water, gelling agents, and stabilizers, facilitating even distribution and stability of the active ingredients. The gel formulation is specifically configured for topical application, allowing localized delivery of ginkgolides directly to inflamed areas. The gelling agents may includecarbomers, cellulose derivatives, and natural gums, while stabilizers can be selected from preservatives, antioxidants, and chelating agents. The formulation undergoes physico-chemical evaluation and stability testing to ensure efficacy, consistency, and shelf-life. The gel is prepared by extracting bioactive constituents and testing anti-inflammatory efficacy.
