Abstract: A sustainable, nano-engineered anti-soiling coating ("Glaze-Guard") for photovoltaic glass surfaces comprises biodegradable casein, rice husk-derived nano-silica, and citric acid, combined to form a transparent protective layer of low surface energy and enhanced hydrophilicity. The coating minimizes dust adhesion and enables passive self-cleaning under natural environmental forces (wind, gravity, water), thereby improving light transmission and photovoltaic efficiency while reducing cleaning frequency, water consumption, and maintenance costs.
