Abstract: ABSTRACT [0014] Autonomous navigation has become an important research area in robotics and electric vehicles. This works presents the design and implementation of a GPS and LiDAR-based autonomous navigation system for an electric ground rover using a Pixhawk controller. The system supports multiple control modes, including remote control, mobile-based control using ESP32 with Q Ground Control, and autonomous waypoint navigation through Mission Planner. GPS provides accurate positioning and waypoint tracking, while LiDAR enables real-time obstacle detection and avoidance. The proposed system demonstrates reliable navigation, flexible control, and safe operation in both manual and autonomous modes. Experimental results confirm that the integration of GPS and LiDAR enhances navigation accuracy, obstacle avoidance, and overall system performance.
