Abstract: The present invention relates to the green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles [ZnO-NPs] using aqueous leaf extracts of Azadirachta indica and Acalypha indica as natural reducing and stabilizing agents. The invention provides an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable method for synthesizing ZnO nanoparticles without the use of hazardous chemicals. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using UV-Visible spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy [FTIR], X-ray Diffraction [XRD], Zeta potential analysis, Differential Scanning Calorimetry [DSC], Dynamic Light Scattering [DLS], and Scanning Electron Microscopy [SEM]. The obtained ZnO nanoparticles exhibited nanoscale size, crystalline hexagonal wurtzite structure, good colloidal stability, and predominantly spherical morphology. The synthesized nanoparticles demonstrated significant antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains. Cytotoxicity evaluation using NIH/3T3 fibroblast cells revealed concentration-dependent biocompatibility, while in vitro scratch assay studies confirmed enhanced wound healing and fibroblast migration. The invention provides ZnO nanoparticles with improved biomedical potential suitable for antibacterial formulations, wound healing materials, tissue regeneration systems, and pharmaceutical applications
