MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611105143 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on August 27, 2026, for Grip Apparatus And System.

Inventors include Disha Singh; and Harsh Srivastava.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: A resistance-adaptive grip apparatus and system are disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises a stationary grip member (101), a movable grip member (102), a magnetorheological fluid damping assembly (103) having a fluid chamber (103a) containing magnetorheological fluid and a displacement member (103b), an electromagnetic field generation assembly (104), a sensing module (105), a communication interface (106), a controller unit (107), and a power supply unit (108). The sensing module generates operational data including grip force, displacement, velocity, acceleration, orientation, and resistance response. The controller unit receives operational data and resistance-control parameters from an external computing device, generates a resistance-adjustment command, determines a corresponding magnetic flux density, and regulates energization of the electromagnetic field generation assembly to modify rheological characteristics of the magnetorheological fluid, thereby providing closed-loop adaptive resistance control. A resistance-adaptive grip training system further enables real-time resistance adjustment, predictive control, performance monitoring, and adaptive exercise management based on operational data.
