Abstract: The present invention relates to a Gymnemasylvestre-based topical gel designed for anti-inflammatory treatment, belonging to the field of pharmaceutical formulations. The invention comprises a Gymnemasylvestre extract rich in bioactive compounds such as saponins and gymnemic acids, integrated into a gel base that includes polymers or gelling agents. The formulation is enhanced with stabilizers, such as antioxidants and chelating agents, to prevent degradation of the extract, and preservatives like parabens, phenoxyethanol, and benzyl alcohol to inhibit microbial growth. pH adjusters, including citric acid and sodium hydroxide, are incorporated to maintain a skin-friendly pH level. The gel base includes emulsifiers for a uniform oil-water mixture. Gymnemasylvestre extract is obtained through specialized extraction to ensure purity and yield. The preparation method involves extracting bioactive compounds, integrating them into the gel, and ensuring quality through pharmacognostical and analytical studies.
