The absorbent contact structure (104), the moisture-transfer structure (106), the drainage structure (108), and the moisture collection section (110) define a staged moisture-management pathway configured to transfer moisture away from the absorbent contact structure (104) toward the moisture collection section (110). The system (100) may further comprise a compression zone (112), a heating arrangement (114), an airflow-generation arrangement (116), and a movable absorbent member (118).
