MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094228 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Hand-Held Plant Shredding Device.
Inventors include Gurpreet Kaur; Palki Sahib Kaur; Abhinoy Kishore; Rachna Kumari; and Sanju Rani.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A hand-held plant shredding device, comprising an elongated body 101 possessing a handle 102 for allowing a user to grip the body 101, a primary horizontal-shaped blade 103 carved with multiple sharp teeth installed with the body 101 to be positioned near a plant to be shredded, a microphone 104 positioned on the handle 102 for receiving user’s commands, an imaging unit 105 mounted on the body 101 to determine exact location and dimensions of leaves of plant , a holographic projection unit 106 mounted on the body 101 to project a holographic image to guide the user in positioning and aligning the body 101 at optimum position, multiple pneumatic actuator 108 installed on the on the body 101 for providing linear movement to a secondary motorized horizontal blade 109 arranged on body to tilt the secondary blade towards the primary blade for shredding the plant with ease.
