Abstract: A hand-held wood sanding assistive device, comprises a circular body 101 is positioned in proximity to wooden surface, plurality of suction cups 103 configured with circular disc 102 to attach sandpaper on bottom portion, cuboidal handle 104 attached on body 101 to move the body 101 over wooden surface, a microphone 105 integrated in body 101 to activate/deactivate the device, DC motor 106 linked with disc 102 to provide rotational movement in disc 102, an imaging unit 107 integrated in body 101 to detect edged portion on surface, laser measurement sensor embedded on body 101 to determine dimensions of edged portion, a pair of motorized hinge joints 108 integrated on body 101 to provide converge/diverge movement to body 101, speaker 109 installed on body 101 to guide user to move body 101, confocal sensor embedded on body 101 to detect thickness of sandpaper.
