Abstract: A handheld counter-unmanned aerial system (100) for neutralising aerial targets under non-stabilised conditions is disclosed. A launcher unit (102) having a trigger subunit (102A) and a munition interface (102B) fires an anti-UAS grenade (104) selectable from grenade types having different terminal effects. A launcher-mounted fire control system (FCS) (106) detects and continuously tracks the target, automatically identifies the loaded grenade type via the munition interface (102B), selects a corresponding engagement model, and computes a predicted intercept point at which the grenade (104) produces a terminal effect in proximity to the target without direct impact. The fire control system (106) generates a firing authorization signal when engagement validity parameters, including track confidence and target position, are satisfied. A trigger block module (TBM) (108) between the trigger subunit (102A) and the fire control system (106) blocks firing until the firing authorization signal is received, providing closed-loop, human-in-the-loop predictive interception.
