Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus. The apparatus is configured to receive, from one or more network applications, a first information. The first information comprises a list of performance metrics supported by the one or more network applications and a periodicity associated with the performance metrics in the list of performance metrics. The apparatus is further configured to obtain, based on the received first information, one or more performance metrics among the list of performance metrics in a periodic manner. The apparatus obtains the one or more performance metrics by one or more network application management functions via an R1 interface. Further, the apparatus obtains the one or more performance metrics to enable monitoring of performance of the one or more network applications.
