Abstract: ABSTRACT HARD CARBON ANODE MATERIAL AND A PROCESS FOR ITS PREPARATION The present disclosure relates to a hard carbon anode material for a sodium ion battery. The hard carbon anode material comprises a primary carbon and a secondary carbon, wherein the secondary carbon is impregnated on the primary carbon thereby forming a microstructure. Further, the present disclosure relates to a process for the preparation of a hard carbon anode material. The method is simple and scalable. The sodium-ion battery having the hard carbon anode electrode of the present disclosure is characterized by having optimal charge-discharge capacity and high coulombic efficiency.
