Abstract: The present invention discloses a system (100) for hazard avoidance in connected vehicular networks. The system (100) comprises a sensing unit (105) configured to acquire real-time environmental and vehicular data using cameras, radar sensors, LIDAR sensors, global positioning system modules, and inertial measurement units. A controller (110) coupled to the sensing unit (105) performs cooperative data fusion, risk analysis, and manoeuvre planning. The controller (110) comprises a processing unit (115) configured to preprocess data, perform decentralized sensor fusion, execute probabilistic risk assessment, compute collision probabilities, and generate coordinated control commands using model predictive control algorithms. A storage unit (120) stores program instructions, models, and historical data. An actuator (125) executes steering, braking, and acceleration commands through electronic control units. The system (100) continuously monitors updated sensor and vehicle-to-vehicle data and refines avoidance manoeuvres through an adaptive feedback mechanism.
