Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electro-mechanical entropy generation apparatus (100) for generating a conditioned cryptographic seed. The apparatus (100) comprises a primary controller unit (110), an electro-mechanical contact unit (120), a controlled actuation unit (130), a contact-state sampling unit (140), a timing acquisition unit (150), an entropy health validation unit (160), a cryptographic conditioning unit (170), and a cryptographic seed output unit (180). The controlled actuation unit (130) actuates the electro- mechanical contact unit (120), and transient contact-state transitions are preserved and captured as timing values. The timing acquisition unit (150) derives bounce-derived timing data, and the entropy health validation unit (160) accepts or rejects the data based on entropy acceptance criteria. Accepted data is cryptographically conditioned to generate the conditioned cryptographic seed, while failed data is prevented from contributing to seed generation and may trigger further acquisition.
