Abstract: The present invention relates to a herbal nail paint formulation (100) and process for preparation thereof. The formulation (100) comprises a natural colourant blend (1) comprising beetroot extract (11), hibiscus extract (12), and turmeric extract (13), a film-forming agent (2) comprising acacia, a solvent base (3) comprising ethanol, a plasticizing agent (4) comprising aloe vera gel, a lubricant agent (5) comprising castor oil, a shining agent (6) comprising vitamin E oil, and a fragrance agent (7) comprising orange oil. The formulation provides natural nail coloration, reduced chemical toxicity, smooth spreadability, gloss, fragrance, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity, and nail-protective herbal properties. The process includes preparing an acacia gel matrix, incorporating the herbal extracts under stirring, adding vitamin E oil and castor oil, adjusting consistency with ethanol, and adding orange oil to obtain a fragrant herbal nail paint having nail polish consistency. The formulation is eco-friendly and reduces harmful effects associated with synthetic nail paints.
