Abstract: HERBAL OROPHARYNGEAL TABLET Abstract of the Invention The present invention relates to a herbal oropharyngeal tablet comprising standardized extracts of Cuminum cyminum (cumin), Zingiber officinale (ginger), Curcuma longa (turmeric), and menthol along with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The tablet is formulated as a slow-dissolving solid dosage form designed for localized delivery of herbal actives in the oral cavity and oropharyngeal region over 10–30 minutes. The standardized extracts ensure consistent levels of bioactive constituents including cuminaldehyde, gingerols, curcuminoids, and menthol. The formulation provides soothing, anti-inflammatory, and mild antimicrobial effects for symptomatic relief of sore throat. The tablet may optionally include mucoadhesive agents to enhance retention and improve local action. The invention offers a stable, palatable, and patient-friendly herbal alternative to conventional sore throat remedies, free from synthetic analgesics and antibiotics, suitable for over-the-counter use.
