Abstract: The present invention relates to a hexagonal modular battery containment system, comprising a hexagonal casing 102 housing a plurality of battery cells 101 forming a battery module, a plurality of separators 103 within the casing 102 to create a plurality of partitions 105 snugly holding battery cells 101, a projection 106 crafted longitudinally along lateral surfaces of the casing 102 and a groove 107 formed lengthwise over lateral surfaces of the casing 102 to interlock of a plurality of the casing 102 in a honeycomb layout forming a battery pack, an electrically conductive plate 108 at first and second ends of the casing 102, electrically connecting the battery cells 101, a cover 109 sealing each of the ends of the hexagonal casing 102, and a twist-lock mechanism integrated with the cover 109 further locking the hexagonal casings 102 with one another.
