MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617083002 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation on July 06, 2026, for High-Strength Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Sheet And Method For Producing Same.

Inventors include Aoyama Mai; Hoshino Katsuya; Tahara Daisuke; Hoshimi Ryouta; and Terashima Shotaro.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: Provided is a high-strength hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having a tensile strength of 780 MPa or more and excellent hydrogen desorption properties. The high-strength hot-dip galvanized steel sheet comprises a base material steel sheet, and a hot-dip zinc-plated layer formed on a surface of the base material steel sheet, wherein: the base material steel sheet has a predetermined component composition; the hot-dip zinc-plated layer has therein cracks extending continuously from the surface of the hot-dip zinc-plated layer to an interface between the base material steel sheet and the hot-dip zinc-plated layer, and further connecting to a crystal grain boundary of the base material steel sheet at an interface between the base material steel sheet and the hot-dip zinc-plated layer; and the crack density is at least 10 pieces/mm in a cross section of the steel sheet and the tensile strength is 780 MPa or more.
