Abstract: ABSTRACT A damper for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, including: a frame including frame members defining a perimeter of an air flow path through the damper; a damper blade movably coupled to at least one of the frame members; and a damper frame seal including a first section coupled to one of the frame members and including a second section extending from the first section towards the air flow path, the second section including a base member, a first fin extending from the base member, and a second fin extending from the base member, wherein the first fin and the second fin are each configured to abut the damper blade when the damper blade is in a closed position and a deflected position.
