Abstract: ABSTRACT HYBRID ADAPTIVE LOAD BALANCING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SLA-AWARE TASK SCHEDULING IN CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTS The present invention provides a hybrid adaptive load balancing system (100) for cloud computing environments comprising a request generator module (110), an SLA classifier module (120), a load balancer module (130) with SLA-aware scheduling engine (131), round-robin scheduling engine (132), and hybrid adaptive controller (133), a virtual machine pool (140) with heterogeneous VM categories, and a monitoring system (150). The system dynamically switches between SLA-aware and round-robin scheduling policies using an exponential moving average based threshold mechanism that monitors real-time SLA violation trends. When violation rates exceed a predefined threshold, the system switches to round-robin mode for uniform load distribution, and reverts to SLA-aware mode when violations subside. The hybrid approach achieves superior composite performance including higher VM utilization, improved throughput, better fault recovery, and balanced energy consumption compared to either pure SLA-aware or pure round-robin approaches individually.
