Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a hybrid blockchain-based secure internet of things authorization system and method thereof (100) that comprises a plurality of internet of things devices (102), a communication network (104), an authorization server (106) having a cryptographic hashing module (108), a blockchain network (110) comprising a plurality of smart contracts (112), an edge gateway (114), a processing unit (116) including a data input module (118), a validation engine (120), an access control module (122), an output module (124), and a user interface (126). The authorization server (106) generates access tokens which are converted into hashed token representations and stored within the blockchain network (110). The edge gateway (114) performs preliminary validation, while the plurality of smart contracts (112) verifies hashed token representations. The processing unit (116) determines authorization outcomes and the user interface (126) presents validation status and access decisions for secure decentralized authorization.
