MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641071300 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 08, 2026, for Hybrid Lwe And Affine-Based Post-Quantum Key Exchange System And Method.

Inventor includes Dr. Chandrasegar T.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: Hybrid LWE and Affine-Based Post-Quantum Key Exchange System and Method A hybrid post-quantum key exchange system and method combining learning-with- errors (LWE) encryption with affine transformation-based encapsulation are disclosed. A receiver generates an LWE key pair and transmits a public key to a sender. The sender generates a session key, encrypts the session key using the LWE public key to produce an LWE ciphertext, and applies an affine transformation-based encapsulation to generate an encapsulated ciphertext. The encapsulated ciphertext is transmitted to the receiver, which performs affine decryption followed by LWE decryption using a corresponding private key to recover the session key. The layered approach enhances security while maintaining compatibility with lattice-based decryption and supports quantum-resistant communication in networked and distributed environments.
