Abstract: Disclosed is a hybrid multilingual speech translation system to convert captured speech into translated speech output. A language selection interface receives a target-language selection and supplies the target-language selection to the processor. A processing server receives the captured speech segment and the target-language selection, generates source-language text from the captured speech segment, generates target-language text corresponding to the target-language selection, and generates translated speech output from the target-language text. An audio routing interface receives the translated speech output, and a communication interface delivers the translated speech output to at least one external communication application.
