Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a hybrid radiant cooling floor system integrated with phase change material for improving indoor thermal comfort and reducing cooling energy consumption in buildings. The system comprises a thermal insulation layer, a phase change material layer, a thermally conductive heat spreading plate, a hydronic tubing network, and a surface cooling layer arranged in a multilayer configuration. The insulation layer minimizes downward heat transfer, while the phase change material absorbs and stores thermal energy through latent heat storage. The conductive plate uniformly distributes cooling across the surface, and the hydronic tubing network circulates chilled water for sensible cooling. The combined sensible and latent cooling mechanism enables prolonged cooling retention, improved temperature uniformity, reduced thermal fluctuations, and efficient operation during intermittent chilled water circulation. The system is suitable for residential, commercial, modular, and energy-efficient building applications.
