Abstract: A hybrid energy management system for electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure is disclosed. The system comprises a grid interface unit (110), an AC/DC converter (120), a DC bus stabilization module (130), a lithium battery energy module (140) coupled via a DC/DC converter (150), a supercapacitor bank (160) connected through a high-speed DC/DC interface (170), and an energy management controller (180). The controller dynamically classifies load events and allocates power between the lithium battery and supercapacitor bank. Transient high-power spikes are supplied by the supercapacitor bank (160), while sustained loads are delivered by the lithium battery module (140). The system enhances grid stability, reduces battery degradation, mitigates peak demand charges, and improves fast-charging efficiency.
