Abstract: ABSTRACT: Hybrid Ventilator with External BLDC Drive Card and Plug-and-Play Maintenance System This invention describes a hybrid wind-driven and motor-driven ventilator system is disclosed comprising a ventilator rotor, ventilator stator, and a Brushless DC Electronic Commutating (BLDC EC) motor configured for selective powered operation. The invention particularly relates to an improved arrangement of the electronic drive card associated with the BLDC EC motor. Unlike conventional hybrid ventilators where the drive card is housed within the motor body, the present system positions the electronic drive card externally on the ventilator structure and connects it to the motor through plug-and-play connectors. This configuration enables direct accessibility of the drive card without dismantling the ventilator head or opening the motor assembly during maintenance or replacement. In the event of drive card failure, the ventilator remains operational as a wind-driven ventilator until reconnection of the repaired or replacement drive card. The invention significantly reduces maintenance downtime, simplifies servicing procedures, improves operational continuity, and enhances reliability of hybrid ventilator systems.
