MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611116346 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 29, 2026, for Hydro-Resonant Mesh System For Active, Energy-Autonomous Subsurface Water Sensing, Regulation, Recharge And Remediation.
Inventors include Shaman Sharma; and Deepak Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Hydro-Resonant Mesh comprising an embedded, roll-5 deployable soil fabric integrating Electro-Osmotic Permeability Nodes, flow- harvested sensors, and modular remediation cartridges. The Hydro-Resonant Mesh is coordinated by an artificial intelligence-driven Soil-Scale Hydraulic Digital Twin for actively and reversibly changing local soil permeability to steer water within soil. The system enables targeted recharge, reduction in irrigation requirements, and point-of-use contaminant 10 remediation. The system is configured for energy-autonomous operation and facilitates verifiable water savings at farm to watershed scale. In an implementation, the system enables a reduction in irrigation of at least 40 percent through controlled steering of water and active management of local soil permeability
