Abstract: HYDROGEL-BASED pH-INDICATING MULTI-LAYER BIOMEDICAL AND FORENSIC SAFETY GLOVE The present invention discloses a hydrogel-based pH- indicating multi-layer 5 biomedical and forensic environments safety glove (SO) configured to provide real-time visual detection of biological fluid contamination while maintaining user safety and evidence integrity. The safety glove (SO) comprises an outer protective elastomeric layer (1) that acts as a primary protective barrier between the user and external biological substances while providing flexibility 10 and mechanical strength. A hydrogel semi-permeable barrier layer (2) is positioned beneath the outer layer and is configured to permit controlled diffusion of moisture and ionic components fr9m biological fluids while preventing outward migration of chemical indicator substances. A pHresponsive indicator layer (3) comprising Bromothymol Blue is embedded 15 within a polymer matrix or micro-encapsulated structure, wherein the indicator undergoes a visible color transition upon exposure to diffused biological fluids. An inner cotton-based layer ( 4) is provided to improve user comfort, breathability, and moisture absorption during prolonged glove usage. The visual color change produced by the pH-responsive indicator layer alerts 20 the user to potential contamination, enabling timely glove replacement and minimizing cross-contamination risks in biomedical, forensic, laboratory, and biohazard handling environments.
