The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT HYDROGEN FUEL CELL POWERED UAV WITH ENHANCED ENDURANCE FOR SURVEILLANCE A Hydrogen fuel cell-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system for surveillance applications is disclosed. The system includes a frame, a propulsion system with a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell, a battery, a modular hydrogen storage system, and a power management system. A surveillance payload and flight control system are mounted on the frame. The power management system distributes power between the PEM fuel cell and the battery based on flight conditions. The modular hydrogen storage system allows selection of different tank sizes based on mission requirements. This system extends flight endurance, enables rapid refueling, and enhances operational flexibility for various surveillance missions.
