Abstract: A hydrostatic constant-ratio fertiliser dispenser for smallholder precision micro-irrigation comprising a dual-chamber UV-stabilised HDPE body (ASTM D4329), a 10- litre float-regulated fertiliser reservoir with independent 316SS-guided float assemblies maintaining water head h_w = 200 mm and fertiliser head h_f = 180 mm, and 316SS orifice inserts (ASTM A276 Type 316) of water bore Ø 20.00 mm and fertiliser bore Ø 2.50 mm, each with a 15-degree conical entry geometry, bore surface finish Ra 0.1–0.2 µm, and dual retention by anaerobic retaining compound and 316SS E-ring circlip providing combined axial retention exceeding 800 N. Torricelli's theorem applied to float-regulated constant heads yields a volumetric injection ratio of 1.5 ± 0.2%, independent of source pressure across 0.5–4.0 bar. A single unit serves 695 m²; 6 to 12 units in parallel manifold serve 1 to 2 acres. Zero electrical or electronic components. Expected service life not less than 10 years; 25 years anticipated.
