Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect whether a traffic flow comprises multipath transmission control protocol (MPTCP) traffic or multipath quick user datagram protocol Internet connection (MPQUIC) traffic. The UE may modify one or more packets of the traffic flow based at least in part on a result of detecting whether the traffic flow comprises MPTCP traffic or MPQUIC traffic or based at least in part on an access traffic steering, switching, and splitting (ATSSS) policy configured on a modem processor of the UE. The UE may provide the traffic flow for transmission by the UE in accordance with the ATSSS policy configured on the modem processor of the UE. Numerous other aspects are described.
