A screen assembly (9) is positioned below the rotor assembly and includes a screen (2) configured to receive shredded material, and a screen stiffener (3) attached to the screen (2). The screen stiffener (3) has a first end and a free end. A screen hinge rod (11) passes through the first end of the screen stiffener (3), and the first end of the screen stiffener (3) is pivotally connected to the screen hinge rod (11). The free end of the screen stiffener (3) is anchored between the top middle plate (4) and the bottom middle plate (1).
