The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: IN-BAND FULL-DUPLEX ANTENNA FOR INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION AND SENSING Provided is an in-band full- duplex antenna system (100) for integrated communication and sensing. The antenna system (100) comprises a dielectric substrate (102), a first antenna element (104) configured as a transmission antenna element, and a second antenna element (106) configured as a reception antenna element disposed in spatially separated relation on the dielectric substrate (102). The antenna system (100) further comprises at least one shorting pin (108) extending through the dielectric substrate (102) adjacent to non-radiating edges of the antenna elements (104, 106), and at least one microstrip line structure (110) disposed within an inter-element region between the antenna elements (104, 106). The shorting pin (108) and the microstrip line structure (110) cooperatively suppress electromagnetic coupling between the antenna elements (104, 106) to provide passive self-interference cancellation during simultaneous transmission and reception within a common frequency band.
