Abstract: Industrial environments often involve the handling of hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, chlorine, and nitrogen dioxide, which pose serious risks to human health and safety. This project presents an loT-based Industrial Toxic Gas Monitoring System with Automated EB Line Cut-Off, designed to detect and respond to dangerous gas leakages in real time. The system utilizes gas sensors (MQ-series) interfaced with a microcontroller such as ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module or ESP32 Microcontroller to continuously monitor air quality. When gas concentrations exceed predefined safety thresholds, the system triggers an alert and automatically disconnects the electrical supply using a relay module, thereby preventing explosions, fire hazards, and equipment damage. Additionally, the IoT integration enables real-time data transmission to cloud platforms for remote monitoring, analysis, and alert notifications via mobile or web applications. This ensures rapid response and enhances industrial safety compliance. The proposed system is cost-effective, reliable, and scalable, making it suitable for deployment in factories, chemical industries, and hazardous work environments to ensure worker safety and prevent industrial accidents.
