MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611105147 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on August 27, 2026, for Instant Vegan Tea Powder Composition And Process For Preparation Thereof.
Inventor includes B Gyani Priyanka Patnaik.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: An instant vegan tea powder composition (100) and a process for preparing the same. The composition comprises tea solids (101), coconut milk solids (102), a plant- based stabilization matrix (103), one or more natural sweeteners (104), and one or more natural antioxidants (105). An aqueous tea extract liquor (109) is combined with a coconut milk base (110) and the stabilization matrix (103) to form a pre-emulsion (111), which is subjected to multi-stage high-pressure homogenization (112) to generate micro-encapsulated coconut fat globules (106) having a mean particle size ranging from 0.2 microns to less than 2.0 microns. The homogenized emulsion is spray-dried in a spray dryer equipped with a centrifugal atomizer to obtain a free-flowing powder. The micro-encapsulated globules exhibit a core-shell morphology comprising a coconut fat core and a tea protein-carbohydrate shell, thereby providing rapid dissolution, enhanced creaminess, improved oxidative stability, and resistance to lipid phase separation upon reconstitution in water.
