Abstract: An instrument cover and a method for providing electrical insulation for an electrosurgical instrument during surgery is disclosed. The electrosurgical instrument includes a conductive portion, a nonconductive portion with at least one locking profile, and an instrument cover featuring a hollow cylindrical structure with a distal portion and a proximal portion. The proximal portion incorporates at least one interlocking profile designed to engage the locking profile of the nonconductive portion. The instrument cover surrounds at least part of the conductive portion to provide electrical insulation from surrounding tissue during surgery. This configuration ensures secure attachment, dependable insulation, and improved safety for electrosurgical instruments utilized in robotic surgical systems. The primary application is to prevent unintended electrical conduction during surgical procedures. FIG. 12
