Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated arc management system for low voltage switchgear, designed to enhance arc quenching capabilities and improve overall switch performance and longevity. The invention features a novel configuration of the first de-ion plate (4a) within the arc chute assembly (4), which serves multiple functions, including acting as an arc splitter, an arc runner, and a current-carrying conductor during arcing. The first de-ion plate (4a), positioned near the fixed contact (6), has a Z-shaped bending profile and is fixed to the fixed contact (6) through a fixing mechanism (7), ensuring proper electrical connection and effective arc redirection. This multifunctional design optimizes the arc quenching process by elongating, splitting, and redirecting the arc, thereby reducing contact erosion and preserving the contact surfaces. The invention simplifies the switchgear design by eliminating the need for separate arc runners, reducing the number of components and manufacturing complexity. The technical effects include enhanced safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency, resulting in a more compact, lightweight, and durable switchgear with extended operational life. The invention is applicable to various low voltage switching equipment, including switch disconnectors, bypass switches, and transfer switches, offering significant benefits in terms of performance, safety, and longevity.
