Abstract: The invention pertains to the field of personal protective equipment, specifically an integrated health monitoring and emergency communication helmet designed for coal mine safety. The helmet structure is equipped with a pulse oximeter for continuous monitoring of the user's oxygen saturation and heart rate, and a variety of air quality monitoring sensors to detect hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide and methane. Additionally, temperature and humidity sensors are installed to assess environmental conditions, while flame detection sensors on the exterior identify fire hazards. A central processing unit (CPU) processes data from these sensors, and a LoRa communication module facilitates long-range transmission of SOS signals.The helmet features efficient power management and an SOS alert triggered by sensors or manually.The pulse oximeter uses photoplethysmography, with precise sensors for air quality, temperature, humidity, and flame detection.
