Abstract: INTEGRATED LORA-BASED TELEMETRY ARCHITECTURE FOR PRECISION SMART FARMING The proposed system is an IoT-based smart agricultural telemetry network designed to enhance precision farming through continuous, remote environmental monitoring. The system acquires critical agricultural parameters, including temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and gas concentrations, using a decentralized network of field sensor nodes. These nodes utilize a microcontroller interface paired with a LoRa (Long Range) communication module to achieve seamless, direct-path wireless data transmission over distances verified up to 250 meters. A central technical feature of the proposed field node is its dynamic power management architecture, specifically applied to environmental gas sensing. By implementing a low-side switching circuit utilizing an NPINT transistor, the system controls the heavy constant current draw of the sensor's internal heating coil. The heater is activated exclusively during a precise sub-second read interval, which drastically reduces overall energy consumption and extends the operational lifespan of the solar-charged, off-grid battery system. After acquiring the sensor data, the field nodes transmit the payload to a centralized Agri-Gateway receiver. This gateway processes the incoming radio frequency signals and bridges the data to remote cloud servers via Wi-Fi. This proposed system significantly reduces manual field- checking labor and increases crop safety by providing real-time agricultural data directly to the user. In addition to continuous cloud-based dashboard visualization, the system automatically processes the data to send instant, secure alerts and environmental status updates to the farmer's mobile device via integrated messaging applications.
