Abstract: This invention describes an integrated municipal wastewater recycling machine configured to convert sewage treatment plant treated municipal wastewater into textile- grade recycled process water. The machine comprises sequential treatment functionalities including oil and grease removal, coconut shell-based granular activated carbon filtration, mixed bed ion exchange resin demineralization, chlorination, and treated water storage. The system removes floating contaminants, residual color, odor, dissolved organic matter, hardness-forming ions, dissolved salts, alkalinity-contributing species, and microbial contaminants. The mixed bed ion exchange unit simultaneously removes cationic and anionic impurities within a single treatment stage, thereby replacing conventional separate cation and anion exchange columns. The treated water exhibits reduced hardness, total dissolved solids, conductivity, organic load, scaling tendency, and microbial contamination, making it suitable for dyeing, bleaching, washing, rinsing, and finishing operations. The invention provides a compact, cost-effective, and sustainable solution for industrial water reuse and freshwater conservation.
