Abstract: An Integrated T-shaped Hydrofoil Ventral fin system comprising a fixed hydrofoil (1), a fairing plate (2), and a ventral fin (3) is installed as a suitable hull appendage in any medium to high-speed water craft. The Integrated T-shaped Hydrofoil Ventral fin system generates hydrodynamic lift during forward motion, thereby reducing the effective transom immersion and stern sinkage. The reduction in immersed transom area substantially decreases base drag and wave resistance while simultaneously improving vessel trim.
