Abstract: Abstract Intelligent Agricultural Shovel with Motion Qualified Soil Sensing and Depth Reconciliation The present invention discloses an intelligent agricultural shovel incorporating motion-qualified soil sensing, penetration-depth reconciliation and adaptive measurement validation. The system comprises soil sensing units, an MPU6050 motion sensor, rotary encoder, ESP32 microcontroller, GPS module and wireless communication unit. The microcontroller reconciles encoder-derived displacement with motion and orientation information to determine sensing depth and identify stable measurement intervals. Soil measurements are evaluated for sensor-response stabilization and accepted only when predetermined motion stability, depth consistency and stabilization criteria are satisfied. Measurements failing validation undergo adaptive recovery through extended stabilization, repeated acquisition or invalidation. Validated soil parameters are associated with corresponding penetration depths and geographical coordinates and communicated to an IoT monitoring platform. The coordinated measurement process reduces acceptance of motion-disturbed readings and incorrect depth assignments, thereby improving the reliability and repeatability of depth-resolved soil monitoring during manual agricultural operations.
