Abstract: Techniques for performing credit assessment of farmers are described. In operation, measurement data related to a piece of farmland cultivated by a farmer is acquired. The measurement data is then analyzed to develop an agricultural advice for the farmland. The agricultural advice is then transmitted to the farmer. The measurement data is then monitored for a predetermined time period after transmission of the agricultural advice to identify changes in the measurement data during the predetermined time period. The changes in the measurement data are then analyzed to determine a diligence parameter for the farmer, where the diligence parameter is indicative of an extent of farmer’s compliance with the agricultural advice. Based on the determination, a diligence score for the farmer is computed, where the diligence score is indicative of at least creditworthiness of the farmer.
