MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068488 A) filed by Mohan Babu University on June 01, 2026, for Intelligent Flex Sensor Integrated Wireless Gesture Controlled Robotic Arm With Adaptive Servo Calibration Mechanism.

Inventors include Mr. V. Baba Rahim; Ms. S. Preethi; Mr. G. Balaji; and Dr. I. Kumara Swamy.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an intelligent gesture-controlled robotic arm system (100) configured for real-time replication of human hand movements using flex sensor-based sensing architecture. The system comprises a wearable glove assembly (102) integrated with a plurality of flex sensors (104), a signal conditioning circuit (106), a transmitter microcontroller unit (108), a wireless communication module (110), a receiver microcontroller unit (112), a plurality of servo motors (114), a robotic arm assembly (116), and a regulated power supply unit (118). The flex sensors (104) detect finger bending movements and generate variable resistance signals that are converted into analog voltage signals for processing. The processed gesture data is transmitted wirelessly through NRF24L01 transceivers and decoded for servo motor actuation using pulse width modulation signals. The system further incorporates an adaptive calibration module (120) configured to dynamically normalize sensor outputs and compensate sensor non-linearity. The invention achieves real-time gesture replication with reduced latency, improved signal stability, enhanced gesture accuracy, and scalable embedded robotic deployment capability suitable for teleoperation and assistive robotic applications..
