Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention provides an intelligent, passenger-centric micro-transit recommendation system utilizing latent occupancy inference and Explainable Prescriptive Arbitration (EPA) to generate dynamic travel decisions. The system acquires spatial-temporal telemetry comprising latitude, longitude, speed, and timestamp from shuttle vehicles through a GPS/GNSS-enabled Shuttle Location Acquisition & Embedded Processing Module (1) and transmits the telemetry through a Wireless Communication Module (2) and cellular network to a cloud platform. A Cloud Sync, Storage & Route Identification Module (3) maintains the telemetry, while an AI Prediction & Occupancy Inference Module (4) estimates a hidden crowding state from GPS-derived mobility characteristics, including vehicle dwell duration at stops and inter-stop travel behavior, thereby eliminating dedicated passenger-counting hardware. The inferred crowding state is converted into a dynamic probability of successful passenger boarding. The AI Prediction & Occupancy Inference Module (4) employing LSTM and/or GRU models processes sequential telemetry to estimate shuttle arrival times. An Explainable Prescriptive Arbitration (EPA) Engine (5) evaluates ETA, boarding probability, alternative shuttle availability, and walking cost using a multi-objective disutility function penalizing travel time, waiting time, crowding, and boarding-failure risk, and outputs a passenger-specific Board, Wait, or Walk recommendation through a Flutter Mobile Application (6), continuously updated as new telemetry is received.
