Abstract: The present invention discloses the development of an intelligent predictive framework for personalizing cancer drug delivery using nanomedicine through bioinformatics and machine learning approaches. The framework uses patient’s genome sequence, transcriptome, proteome, metabolome, and imaging data to provide personalized treatment guidelines. A bioinformatics subsystem preprocesses and extracts relevant molecular biomarkers, while a machine learning subsystem provides prediction about patient’s drug response, treatment efficiency, drug toxicity, and resistance pattern. Using the predicted results, a nanomedicine optimization subsystem gives the right nanomedicine formulation, targeting ligand, dose, and drug release profile to achieve better treatment results. A learning subsystem updates the predictive models in an adaptive way using real-time results from patients. Such a predictive framework is useful in precision medicine as it supports the doctor in making informed decisions, minimizes side effects, and increases the treatment efficiency. FIG.1
